Religious Bondage

Change the "Preachings" you hear - Hear what will edify you and not what will put you in "Religious Bondage".

It is not the amount of Gospel preachings you have heard or you hear that matters, but the amount of the Word of God that is retained in your sub-conscious memory and applied everyday in your life.

In this year, don't be a hearer ONLY, be a doer of the Word of God.

Rejoice not because you are the most punctual in Church, the most eloquent in preachings, the most wonderful in cramming the verses of the Bible, but rejoice because you are a hearer and an applicator - a doer of the word of God that you hear.

A Woman’s secret -Toyin Adon Abel

A woman’s secret is always so dear to her…. Like one of the former Uk Prime Ministers said some time ago.

“If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman” Margaret Thatcher.

What exactly are THESE secrets that women guard so close to their chest?

Just last week, I was on the phone with a friend of mine, and she was telling me about some fantastic secrets that she would ordinarily not share with anyone, I was almost out of breath as I tried to keep up with the pace of the summary of events that took almost an hour to say. Now what exactly was this words said? It was the story of “A woman’s secret" as written by the amiable Toyin Adon Abel.

As I sat down at the corner, fixing my eyes on a particular spot on the window reminiscing on what my friend was saying the night before… I was so deeply lost in thoughts, then suddenly, like a thunder bolt, I was awakened by this beauty, I turned and suddenly I could see someone walking in, though I took that corner so that I won’t be disturbed by the flow of traffic, I couldn’t but notice when she came in, arm in arm with this package, I was quite intrigued, and refused to take off my eyes.

Like a princess possessed by her beauty, she sat down on the seat opposite me, suddenly she opened a package, like a priceless scroll, she brought out this book, and started to read. To my amazement, it was “A Woman’s secret by Toyin Adon Abel”. My heart stopped beating for a little while, I stood there in utter amazement, thinking… this is the book I have been dying to read and here in front of me, is someone so much engrossed in the book that they even made a special package for it in the name of carrying case.

I couldn’t but see the mixture of smiles and tears that rolled through her cheeks as she was engrossed in the book.

Some hours later, when I looked up, she was sparkling with the dazzling of her teeth beaming with smiles and happiness of great accomplishment… I could see from my seat that she had almost reached the end of this great book. I picked up d courage to stand and walk up to her, since I could see the imaginary “Do not disturb sign” taken off by the smiles.

In a low tone, I introduced myself, and to my utter amazement, her response was “I am a Woman’s secret”!!! I couldn’t help but to laugh out my heart and we enjoyed a laugh together… then I dropped the message “May I borrow this book, because I have heard about it, and have seen someone read it with great pleasure”.

Then like a miracle in the wilderness, she opened her bag and out came another gift box, this time wrapped in a golden coloured covering. With a warm smile she said “Happy Birthday”!!!!!.

I was taken a back, I couldn’t fathom the whole thing, but she explained that she knows I always come here to relax and she has been a fan of my blogs, she did a little research and knew my birthday, and decided to take a chance…. What else could I say, but silently I thanked God for a wish come true.

Now I will tell you the rest when I am done with this book… I have heard a lot about it, and I am going home now to lock myself in and read it with all my heart.

If you want a copy, just follow here and grab one. If you want to make someone’s day, you can order the book and depending on where you are, you can get free delivery. So set a heart on happiness spree and make someone’s day today by giving them a copy of “A woman’s secret” by Toyin Adon Abel.

Things that destroy Godly Relationships

The moment we know the Rules of Godly Relationship, its very important that we take some time out to know what we should try to avoid doing or the life when must try to avoid living in order not to destroy the Godly relationship we have.

Things that destroy Godly Relationships

There are many things that destroy Godly relationship, which among them will include:
  • Fornication
  • Lying
  • Unfaithfulness
  • Covetousness
  • Drunkeness
  • and the list is endless.
Other things may include:
  1. Wrong attitude to / or perception of the opposite s-e-x.
  2. Covetousness destroys life and brings bitterness. This ultimately leads to being parasitic, and having a parasitic relationship is not good at all.
  3. Premature timing for relationships can be a kill joy. Timing is a number one rule in Life.
  4. Backsliding / poor knowledge of the word of God.
  5. When there is no Holy Ghost in any relationship, that relationship is doomed to fail.
The Holy Ghost is a comforter, a friend, a teacher in any relationship. If you ever want to have a great relationship, I will suggest you ask the Holy Spirit for an advice and teaching.

Levels of Relationship

There are various levels of Relationship that you have to be aware of.
  • The relationship between God and You.
  • The relationship between You and Your Parents.
  • The relationship between You and your School / Course Mates / Friends.
  • The relationship between You and A FRIEND. (One that is closer than a Brother).
  • The relationship between You and that Special ONE (1).
In all your relationships, make sure its Godly and always ask the Holy Ghost to help you out, and stay Blessed.

The difference between Friend and Fiend

Have you ever asked yourself  this question: What is the difference between Friend and Fiend?
Well, let me share the burden with you, and relieve you of some troubles trying to crack your brain to get the answer.

Now before I try to answer that, I will like you to have a little understanding of the two words -Friend and Fiend.

A Friend

A friend is someone who you know very well and someone you like a lot to hold close to your heart or even if the person is not yet inside your heart, the person is just very close.

A friend can also be said to be someone who can stand in for you when the going goes though; someone who can always lend a shoulder to cry on when you are down.

Okay that said, now lets have a little understanding of who a fiend is.

A fiend

A Fiend according to my small dictionary means: An evil Spirit, a Cruel or wicked person, someone who is diabolically wicked, a very implacable and malicious foe. A foe.... come on.... a foe simply means that a fiend is an enemy!!!!

Ok in case you are still wondering why I asked the question in the first place, let me now tell you that the main difference between FRIEND and FIEND is "R" which stands for RELATIONSHIP.

That said, a Friend is someone who you have a kind of relationship with, be it casual, deep, shallow, strong, or any definition you might give it, but a Fiend is simply a foe - an enemy, and who needs an enemy in their lives? The answer without even you opening your mouth to say it is NO ONE.

Friendship can be both Godly and ungodly, and we are equipped with the required sense of reasoning on what exactly is Godly or ungodly.
The question now is: Are there any set of Rules for a Godly Relationship?

When your Struggles produces NOTHING

Lessons on the third appearance of Jesus to his disciples – Post Resurrection.
Title: When your Struggles produces NOTHING
John 21:1 – 24

Every person tries to do their best. Many people don’t have a life. What they have is a perpetual struggle.
The rich is full of worries, while the poor is full of anxiety.

According to John 21:3, Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”
They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing”.(NKJV)
It was this same boat that they forsook (in Luke 5).

When you think of Peter, John, you will know that they had a handiwork, they were not lazy people. It was this same place in Luke 5, where Jesus saw peter that he went back to.

The Post Resurrection Lessons on the third appearance of Jesus to his disciples are very much a necessity for all believers in Christ to understand and learn from.

Lessons:
1.   Go FISHING -: When you get discouraged, two (2) things will happen to you. Either you return to God, or you go back to what you were doing before you met God

Revelation 2:25: 2 “I know your works, your labour, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have laboured for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent” (NKJV).

2.   John 21:3 -: Peter, James and John have been in partnership before they met Jesus. Sometimes God allows us to go through struggles to teach us that despite our connections, Education, experiences, some problems cannot be solved, but by the power of God. So
ð Stop all your struggles, connections and STEP into the Inner Room.

3.   God is closer than you think. (John 21:14).

4.   Psalm 30:5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” (NKJV)
ð God is always there even when you think you cannot see Him.

5.   God is asking “how long can you wait for me?” All your connections, experiences, have they worked?
Does the Almighty want to be educated by asking questions? – NO!
He wants you to discover yourself by yourself. Remember His word says “without me, you can do nothing”.
ð What can you accomplish outside of God?

6.   God wants you to consider that He is not limited to your situation.
ð Personal evaluation is the engine oil to progress.

7.   Deliverance begins with confession that you cannot help yourself.
ð HELP!!!! Is the greatest prayer you can pray.

8.   God does not need to go into struggle with you; He will only provide solution for you.
This is where you have to pulse and go into your INNER ROOM (Prayer)
ð When you are at your lowest point, when everything you have tried have failed, don’t throw in the towel yet; throw out your net to the RIGHT. – Don’t give up until God speaks.

9.   The strange thing here was that the disciples did not recognise that it was Jesus that was talking to them.
ð Because they were so encumbered by their struggles.

……. You need a JOHN in your boat, because it was John that discovered that it was Christ. He knew the heartbeat of Christ.
