A Question of FAITH

FAITH (Hebrews 11)

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.(NKJV)

According to Hebrews 11, FAITH can be defined as:
1.    The substance of things hoped for……
ð  Any man who has no Faith, has no faith

2.    The evidence of things not seen.
ð  Faith manifests when a man has lost all Hopes.

3.    Our faith is not built in things seen, but things that are beyond human thinking.

4.    It takes faith to give a quality offering to God.

5.    Faith is very challenging; it encompasses all that we do in life. Everything you do in life depends on the level of your faith.

6.    It’s impossible to please God without faith.

Faith is CONFIDENCE in GOD. (Mathew 6:24-34)
Often times, our worries, problems, complaints, High Blood Pressures are all because of our lack in Faith.

According to Mathew 8: 3 – 13; Faith is absolute confidence in the ability of God to intervene in any matter that concerns you.

Faith is NOTHING without the demonstration of Love and works.

ð  The moment you allow the Word of God to grow inside of you, He will prepare you to have faith. i.e. your faith grows.
ð  Faith means understanding the promises of God for your life. – But there is no promise without Conditions to be fulfilled.
Isaiah 1:19 - If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land. (NKJV)

The question is: WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUT FAITH?

ð  Luke 18:1 :- We constantly Pray, but never have faith in what we are asking God.

ð  Mark 4:38 :- Even when Jesus was present, His disciples never believed in His presence. Most times, we do not believe, even when we have seen the Miracles of God in our lives.

ð  Hebrew 4:2 :- No matter how long we are exposed to hearing the word of God, if we never put it into practice, and quicken our faith, it would be like a seed planted on rocks.

ð  Hebrews 11:1 :- Most people have the “I want it now mentality” thus if they don’t see whatever they are asking of from God, they wont believe.

ð  Romans 4:20-25 :- Abraham believe in God, and it was accounted to him. We should emulate him, as out father, because if he could live all through his life still having Hope and believing in God, we as Christians, having Jesus as our mediator cans still practice this faith.

Remember that Jesus said that “if our faith is as little as the mustard seed, be can do even greater things than He did”. Just believe and have faith that whatever you as of God through His Son Jesus would be given unto you, by the Power of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

When your Struggles produces NOTHING

Lessons on the third appearance of Jesus to his disciples – Post Resurrection.
Title: When your Struggles produces NOTHING
John 21:1 – 24

Every person tries to do their best. Many people don’t have a life. What they have is a perpetual struggle.
The rich is full of worries, while the poor is full of anxiety.

According to John 21:3, Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”
They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing”.(NKJV)
It was this same boat that they forsook (in Luke 5).

When you think of Peter, John, you will know that they had a handiwork, they were not lazy people. It was this same place in Luke 5, where Jesus saw peter that he went back to.

The Post Resurrection Lessons on the third appearance of Jesus to his disciples are very much a necessity for all believers in Christ to understand and learn from.

Lessons:
1.   Go FISHING -: When you get discouraged, two (2) things will happen to you. Either you return to God, or you go back to what you were doing before you met God

Revelation 2:25: 2 “I know your works, your labour, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have laboured for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent” (NKJV).

2.   John 21:3 -: Peter, James and John have been in partnership before they met Jesus. Sometimes God allows us to go through struggles to teach us that despite our connections, Education, experiences, some problems cannot be solved, but by the power of God. So
ð Stop all your struggles, connections and STEP into the Inner Room.

3.   God is closer than you think. (John 21:14).

4.   Psalm 30:5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” (NKJV)
ð God is always there even when you think you cannot see Him.

5.   God is asking “how long can you wait for me?” All your connections, experiences, have they worked?
Does the Almighty want to be educated by asking questions? – NO!
He wants you to discover yourself by yourself. Remember His word says “without me, you can do nothing”.
ð What can you accomplish outside of God?

6.   God wants you to consider that He is not limited to your situation.
ð Personal evaluation is the engine oil to progress.

7.   Deliverance begins with confession that you cannot help yourself.
ð HELP!!!! Is the greatest prayer you can pray.

8.   God does not need to go into struggle with you; He will only provide solution for you.
This is where you have to pulse and go into your INNER ROOM (Prayer)
ð When you are at your lowest point, when everything you have tried have failed, don’t throw in the towel yet; throw out your net to the RIGHT. – Don’t give up until God speaks.

9.   The strange thing here was that the disciples did not recognise that it was Jesus that was talking to them.
ð Because they were so encumbered by their struggles.

……. You need a JOHN in your boat, because it was John that discovered that it was Christ. He knew the heartbeat of Christ.
